Duvel says it has "more than enough" beer after ransomware attack

Duvel Moortgat Brewery, a Belgian beer brand known for its golden pale ale, has been hit by a ransomware attack, halting its production in its bottling facilities. The attack was detected by automated threat detection systems, and the company hopes to restart production today or tomorrow. The company has more than enough beer in stock to compensate for the production halt. Beer enthusiasts on Reddit have called the situation a "national emergency" and expressed concern over potential price increases for specific Duvel beers if production takes a long time to restore to normal. The cyberattack does not affect production only at the main brewery in Breendock or other facilities in Antwerp, Oudenaarde, and Achouffe. No ransomware gangs have claimed responsibility for the attack at the time of writing.
